Our educational resources are committed in providing young people the best possible learning experience, as well as designed to provide a safe, supportive and nurturing environment. We have a person centred approach which enables young people to engage in learning in a very supportive rural environment where their individual needs are taken into account.
Our ethos is built on our values that everyone can learn, achieve and be successful in the right environment, with the right support. we believe in following an individual's interests to make learning accessible and enjoyable.
Working in small groups or individually, this programme offers recognised qualifications and personal development through therapeutic horsemanship, equine and animal assisted learning and individualised development plans as well as the young person developing further their functional skills such as Maths and English.
We work in partnership with an Ofsted approved training provider to offer City and Guilds qualifications in:
•City and Guilds Horse Care and Riding Diplomas level 1,2 and 3
•City and Guilds Animal Care Diplomas Level 1 and 2
•Functional Skills ( Maths and English)
The Education Team includes Teachers, Social Workers, equestrian coaches, therapeutic horsemanship coaches and a pastoral team with a wide range of skills and knowledge to support young people who maybe experiencing social, emotional or mental health difficulties. in conjunction with our recognised and approved qualifications we follow our own values and star outcome charts with the focus being on providing an environment where all young people can flourish and realise their potential.
We are based with a licenced Riding Establishment and Pony club Centre, if young people wish to re-engage in learning without a qualification, we offer Pony Club achievement badges, animal care and riding awards, providing tangible success through fun learning. The achievement badges cover a variety of topics including a range of horse care skills, knots, public speaking, independence learning, forest school and farming to name a few, so there is something that appeals to every young person accessing our education service.
